Yetee Osunsanmi
Deputy Director of the California Film Commission
Yetee Osunsanmi has been appointed Deputy Director of the California Film Commission. In this role, she will align with the commission’s mission statement to support the film, television, and commercial industries to retain, attract, and grow production-related jobs and the many ancillary businesses that benefit from increased production activity in California. A seasoned entertainment executive with more than two decades of experience across streaming, film, and television, Osunsanmi has built a reputation for bridging the worlds of content, talent, and business with creativity, diplomacy, and strategic vision.
Most recently, she served as Vice President of Content Strategy at Paramount+, where she led Originals Scripted Content originating from CBS Studios. While there she collaborated with acclaimed showrunners, producers, and cross-functional teams to bring high-profile series to market, including Star Trek: Discovery, The Good Fight, Evil, Why Women Kill, and Criminal Minds: Evolution. Previously, Osunsanmi held roles at Turner Entertainment Networks and 20th Century Fox. Recognized for her ability to align diverse stakeholders in complex organizations, she brings expertise in content strategy, talent negotiations, experiential marketing, and large-scale project management.
Osunsanmi earned a Master’s in Communications Management from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s in Legal Studies from Chapman University. She began her career with an internship at the United States Supreme Court before transitioning into entertainment. A Southern California native, she enjoys tennis, and spending time with her family.
